MSGT Bruce Harding Clark Sr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on July 19, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 14, 1948, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Arlis F. Clark and Marta Clark, Bruce spent much of his childhood with his paternal grandparents in Nashville, TN. His early years were filled with love and adventure, laying the foundation for a life marked by service and dedication.
Bruce was a distinguished veteran of the United States Armed Forces, having served both in the Army and the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force with over 21 years of active duty, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and superiors. Outside of his military career, Bruce was an avid billiards player, competing in local and national tournaments where he achieved top rankings in his league.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Margarita Clark, his parents, and his younger brothers, James and Stephen Clark. Bruce is survived by his daughter Cassie Bruner (Dan), son Bruce Jr. (Tanya), daughter Shana Gonzalez (Wilson), and brother David (Jodi). He also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews. Bruce was a proud Abuelo and Papa to Brianne and Gabriella, and Grandpa Clark to Chelsea, Robert, and Jeff. He was a great-grandfather to Blakely. Those fortunate enough to know Bruce will remember how deeply he valued his family and the love he shared with them.
Visitation will be held at Prevatt Funeral Home in Hudson, FL, on Tuesday, July 23rd, from 3 pm to 6 pm, with a service at 5 pm.
A service of interment will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Wellington, FL on July 25th at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to a charity of your choice dedicated to pancreatic cancer research.
