Gene Martin Robinson

Mr. Gene Martin Robinson, 75, of Hudson, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at The Rucki Hospice Care Center in Zephyrhills, FL.

Gene was a dedicated math teacher for 42 years, spending 35 of those years as a math teacher at Gulf High School in New Port Richey, Florida, and 7 years at Toms River North High School in New Jersey. In addition, he taught as a part-time math professor at Pasco-Hernando Community College, Webster College, and Rasmussen College. Until his retirement in 2013, he was passionate about helping his students succeed and dedicated himself to investing in their future.

An avid sports fan, Gene enjoyed watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rays, and Lightning. He also loved playing golf, engaging in a game of chess, and listening to music—especially The Beatles. His greatest joys came from moments shared with his beautiful wife, their children, and his grandchildren; all of whom were the light of his life.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Denise; children Gene Jr., Sean, Erin, Ryan, Joseph, and Mary; grandchildren Hailey, Jason, Jonny, and Joshua; and many other beloved family members. He was preceded in death by his son James, and sisters Janice, Roberta, and Annie, as well as brothers Bobby and Victor.

Viewings will be held at Prevatt Funeral Home (7709 State Rd 52, Hudson, FL 34667) on Tues. April 8, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will also be at Prevatt Funeral Home on Wed. April 9 at 11am with interment at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens (14360 Spring Hill Drive Spring Hill, FL 34609)."
