Gloria Coolidge Harris Wilkie, 83, passed away on August 13, 2020 in Hudson, FL, after a brief battle with Leukemia.
Gloria was born in Memphis, TN on July 13, 1937 and graduated from St Thomas Academy, Memphis, TN in 1955.
She is survived by Roger Harris, Son (Dunnellon, FL), Diana Casias, Daughter (Hudson, FL), Sharon Robida, Daughter (East Liverpool, OH), as well as 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren
Gloria is predeceased by her father and mother, Harry and Gladys Babin Coolidge, Robert Harris, Husband, Robert Mitchell Harris, Infant Son and, Leslie Wilkie, Husband.
Family was very important to Gloria. She believed in expressing her love in word, deed, and cooking. When you come to visit you will never go away hungry physically or emotionally. One of her favorite expressions is, "I love you, warts and all". Hugs were freely given to everyone.
Gloria took some computer classes at Northeast Community School in 1986 to enter the workforce after Husband, Robert Harris, passed away.
She worked for Pinellas County Schools in the CTAE school, Dixie Hollins Adult Education Center as a Data Management Technician. While working there she was promoted to Secretary and attained her teaching certificate in computers through lifelong learning. Gloria wrote her own curriculum and taught Microsoft Outlook to Senior Citizens.
Gloria was a member of SMART RV traveling club with Husband, Leslie Wilkie.
Gloria loves her dogs she has had through the years. She couldn’t imagine life without the pitter patter of paws.
The family has chosen to have a private memorial service for Gloria. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gloria’s name to PAWS – Pasco Animal Welfare Society, 11720 US Highway 19, Suite 24, Port Richey, FL 34668.
