Grace Anne Ruscio, 93, Hudson (FL), passed away surrounded by her family at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point on January 11, 2020.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Lawless on July 30, 1926. She was the wife of Anthony Ruscio, the love of her life, for nearly 37 years until he preceded her in death in April 1984. She is also preceded in death by her sister Marie Collins and brother Raymond Lawless.
Grace is survived by her four children: Maryanne (William) French of North Carolina, Paul (Eve) Ruscio of Massachusetts, Kathryn Kelly of Florida, Margaret (Darrell) Closson of Georgia; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends.
She loved spending time with family and friends. Grace was a joyful spirit and touched the hearts of all those she encountered. She was a catalyst for smiles and joy wherever she went. Grace enjoyed life to its fullest and reminded all of those around her to do the same.
She was active in the Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister, bereavement minister, lector, member of the Lay Carmelites and a certified Catholic Chaplain. Grace was also instrumental in the expansion of the Legion of Mary in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida.
