Junior Ruben Velez, 70, of Hudson Florida, died September 18th, 2020 in his home with his loving wife Marie by his side.
Junior was born in Puerto Rico to Ada Madina and Prudencio Velez on August 15th, 1950. He attended Rice High school in Manhattan, New York. Upon his graduation from High school he served in the Marine corps as a sniper during the Vietnam war. He had a multitude of careers over his lifetime including a coder, accountant, and patient care technician. Many of his hobbies included wood working, fishing, and playing pool. He also enjoyed spending time with family, and cooking Puerto Rican Cuisine just like his late mother, Ada. Junior passed away, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and now he is finally resting in peace.
Preceded in death by his mother and father, his son Tristan Velez, and his brother Angel. Junior is remembered by his wife Marie Velez, his son Jared Velez, his grandchildren Xavier Velez, and Bryanne Astleford, and his niece Thelma Velez. As well as, His five stepchildren Marie, Lisa, Joann, Jennifer and Theodore and their families.
Junior Velez will be cremated and buried at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
