It is with great sympathy we share the passing of Laura M. Gorman on August 12, 2019. Laura was met on the otherside by her adoring parents Dominick and Yolanda DellaRocco. She is the middle child between her older sister Patricia Hall, who is married to Robert Hall, and younger brother, Thomas DellaRocco.
Laura worked for over 30 years for Choice Point/Equifax, and was ultimately promoted as the first female supervisor years ago. She was able to manage a very demanding career and still be devoted to her family. Laura was a loving wife, supportive mother and caring grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Gorman. Laura and John met when she was twelve years old in the neighborhoods of Queens Village, NY. After marrying, they had two daughters Jennifer and Kerri. Jennifer is an accomplished Hair Stylist/Make-up Artist who is married to Domenick Cavazza. Laura would get daily visits from her grandsons Christopher, Nicholas and Dominick since they live nextdoor. Kerri is an Assistant Principal and is married to Kevin Traynor who live in the Raleigh, NC area with their children Brianna and Sean. Laura loved to get pedicures with Brianna and laugh and play games with Sean.
Laura loved to garden, shop, go to the theater, cook and spend time with family. She especially loved watching the kids in the neighborhood play basketball and football while she rocked in her chair outside. Laura is also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews who relied on her for advice, support and love. She was the “go to” person for many family and friends when major decisions needed to be made.
Laura was full of life, loved to laugh and make memories with her family. She will always be loved and remembered by all that knew her.
