Randy H Clegg

d. July 8, 2020

Randy H. Clegg, 71, of Hudson, Florida passed away on July 8, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. The family has decided a memorial service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions. Randy was born in Muncie, Indiana on October 17, 1948. Throughout his lifetime, he enjoyed playing several sports and was quite proud of being a varsity athlete. In 1988, he moved to Florida where he soon met Theresa “Beautiful” (as he called her). They were married August 18, 1990. Together they opened and managed Anna Banana’s in Spring Hill, FL. There he made famous the Giant Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich which he brought from Indiana. That adventure led to Randy expanding his entrepreneurship to Holly’s Lounge in Hudson, FL and The Boondocks in Moon Lake, FL. There he continued to own and operate the businesses until his retirement. Randy made many lasting friendships while owning those businesses. Randy enjoyed trips to casinos where he would be found at the Black Jack table and golfing trips with friends. During retirement, he continued to organize the men’s golf league, where he enjoyed playing a round of golf with his buddies. His family’s favorite memories are of boating on the Homosassa River. Randy was an excellent friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; his son, Tony Clegg and girlfriend Stephanie; his daughter Jessica Touati and husband Simon; his daughter, Stacy Yildiz and husband Al; and his seven grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Connie Schleup, and his brother, Rick Clegg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation in his name.
