Richard H. Shamblin

Richard Houston Shamblin, 78, of Hudson, FL, passed away after a short illness on February 14, 2025.

Rich was born February 6, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, to his parents Richard R. and Mary G. Shamblin. He graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in Northport, AL, and received his Bachelor’s degree from Livingston University in Livingston, AL. Rich served in the Air Force as an Airman 2nd Class during the Vietnam war. He spent his working years in various sales positions in Alabama, Texas, and Delaware until he ultimately found his home in Florida. He loved the water, boating, and the warm sunshine.

Rich was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time most with friends on the course. Anyone who knew him appreciated his skill as the greatest story-teller.

Rich is preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael G. Shamblin, and brother-in-law Patrick Boylan.

Rich is survived by his partner Stephanie Jackson of Hudson, FL, daughters Christen Foster (David) of Bedford, TX, and Victoria Anderson (Micajah) of Homewood, AL, sisters Mary Beth Boylan and Donna Shamblin of Middletown, DE, and his grandchildren.

Interment will take place at a later date in Delaware. Celebrations of life with friends and family will be planned in the near future.
