Age 78, died peacefully in the presence of her dear husband, three beautiful daughters, many members of her tight knit family, and her loving fur baby, Lolita on May 8, 2024 after her courageous battle with cancer.
Silvia was born on August 13, 1945 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Francisco Amador and Santos Moncada. She graduated and received her Associate Degree as an Associate Assistant. When she moved to NJ, she was a factory worker for many years before working for the Union City Board of Education as a Bus Aide for special needs children.
Silvia is survived by her husband, three daughters and four grandchildren. Silvia was happily married to
Alfredo Betancourt who was her partner in life for 54 years at the time of her death.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Silvia had a passion for watching crime shows on TV. Silvia had
a bright personality and loved to cook for everyone that came to visit her. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
