Stanley Kozlakowski of Holiday, FL died unexpectedly on February 19, 2025. He was born to the late Antoni and Veronica (Szwajkowski) Kozlakowski in Poland on September 14, 1951. When he was 11 years old, he moved to the US, where his family settled in Hadley, MA. He was a member of the South Deerfield Polish Club, The Young Men’s Club, and Hook and Ladder #5. He worked for Karl’s Excavating for over 30 years. He retired to sunny Florida, fulfilling a life-long dream, where he took his dog, Max, for long walks, went for convertible rides with his wife, and loved bringing his family and friends to Disney and Busch Gardens. He loved watching his grandkids play sports, fishing, drinking beer, and trying his luck at the casino. Stanley always had a positive attitude and enjoyed life right to the end.
He is greatly missed by his wife of 38 years, Norma Pratt Kozlakowski, his daughters, Joanne Wallace and husband Jason of Gill, MA, Janine Kozlakowski of Amherst, MA, and Teresa Wozniak and husband Jason of Hatfield, MA, and daughter-in-law Katie Kozlakowski of Hatfield, MA.
Stanley cherished being a Dziadziu. His grandchildren, Julia and Jake Wallace, Travis and Tessa Houle, and Justin Kozlakowski, will remember his fun demeanor, caring ways, and dependability.
His grand dogs will miss their daily slim jim treat when Dziadziu visited.
Stan also leaves behind his brother, Joseph Kozlakowski of Hadley, and sisters, Cecil Demers and her husband Jay of Turners Falls, and Ann Russell of Hadley, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
Although the loss of our husband, dad, grandpa, and brother is deeply felt, we find some comfort knowing he is reunited with his son, Anthony Kozlakowski, who passed away in 2023, his brother Mirin Kozlakowski, and his parents.
We will celebrate Stanley’s life at a later date when we can share a beer to honor him and reminisce about the good times we had.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
